"The key to being a great guest is to bring something to the table. It can be an outrageous story, a controversial opinion, an expensive bottle of wine, or a great pair of legs. Doesn't matter. Just don't be dull."

Hi! I’m Lauren,
Cook, Nutritionist, Wanderer, Farm enthusiast
After years of figuring out how I want to spend my time, I have landed here with a different way of helping people. I graduated from Johnson & Wales Providence with a Bachelor of Science in culinary nutrition. I became a dietitian, certified in functional and integrative nutrition and soon realized I just wanted to be around food and explore the world.

After school, I interned for a company called SPE Certified & Rouge Tomate that strived for sustainability, feeding nutritious food to diners of New York. The next year I was in Chicago completing a year of service for AmeriCorps at The Greater Chicago Food Depository as a Health and Nutrition Coordinator, spreading knowledge and vegetables to those in need. During my 3 years in Chicago, I served on the board of the Illinois Farmers Market Association and co-started a small bagel business, The Kitchen Sink Chicago, focused on local, organic ingredients, sold at farmers markets. I was always doing catering gigs and event support on the side. From 2020-2023 after passing my RD exam, I worked in the field and gained experience and perspective into our healthcare system.
In 2024, I made a big change. I worked at a boutique resort in the mountains of Asheville and traveled to Morocco with a culinary group - a life altering year to say the least.

I am now back in Richmond - you can find me wandering with my dog, hanging with my niece, harvesting vegetables, puzzling or working on my recipes.
